Joining us in year 7 September 2027

Thank you for considering Shenley Brook End as you plan for your child’s next step. We are looking forward to welcoming students who will join us in Year 7 in September 2027. This page is designed to help you understand what to expect and how to prepare, so you feel confident about the transition from primary to secondary school.

At Shenley Brook End, we believe that strong relationships, high expectations, and a supportive learning environment are essential for every pupil to thrive. Our Year 7 curriculum is carefully planned to build on what children have learned in primary school, while also introducing new subjects, skills, and opportunities. We aim to make the move as smooth as possible by focusing on settling in, developing independence, and encouraging pupils to engage with school life from the start.

If you have a primary-aged child, now is a great time to familiarise yourself with the admissions process and key dates. We recommend keeping an eye on updates from the school and your local authority, and speaking with us if you have any questions about learning, wellbeing, or practical arrangements. We look forward to working with you and your child as they prepare for September 2027.
