It is important that a lack of money should not hinder students from accessing education.
Therefore, we have a bursary scheme. Students and parents must apply for it as there are specific income based criteria that must be met.
Attached to this page are three documents:
-
The 5DT Finance Policy 16-19 Bursary - with information about what is needed and what the Government rules are
-
The Bursary application form - submit this as soon as you can
-
A year 13 Declaration - Year 13 students only need to submit this and NOT a whole new application
New year 12 students must complete and submit an application, with proof of income, to the Sixth Form team (sixthformteam@sbe5d.com).
If in doubt please still submit a form.
The money does not go directly to students, the school will pay for things such as bus passes, school resources (calculator, paper, folders etc), a clothes voucher, safety equipment for science, UCAS visits or educational trips.
